ABOUT

From classroom technology to institutional strategy

My career has moved from front-line learning technology support to leading institutional strategy, including designing and teaching courses, creating new accreditation pathways, and mentoring academic staff across universities in the UK and Hong Kong. Along the way, a PhD focused on how teachers experience blended professional development informed how I think about the relationship between good course design and the people experiencing the learning and ultimately how educators go on to teach and support others.

Since 2024 I've worked independently, taking on consultancy, course design and coaching projects for institutions in the UK, Hong Kong and Australia. Underpinning all of this is a coaching and mindfulness ethos and practice that guides how I listen, facilitate and design for genuine reflection and awareness rather than just efficiency. My aim is to bring the same attention to the people doing the work as to the design of the work itself.

Much of my work is with academics, but the questions are the same whatever people teach. How do you structure a session, facilitate a group and know whether learning actually happened?
